Think local, act local As an Area Manager you'll need to breathe local. To lead and inspire a local business sales team to exceed customer expectations and value time after time. Each customer has its own value drivers, so it's up to our client to provide world-class banking and investment products to their local business customers to keep them happy. And it's up to their Area Managers to ensure they’re up to speed with local market needs and continue to sell their customers the right products.
What you'll give the customers Bringing forward your years of expertise in the sales arena and a clear understanding of what local businesses actually need, as an Area Manager you'll establish a sales plan which maximises value not only for our client but more importantly, their customers. You'll manage a team of Local Business Managers and instil in them the passion, commitment and belief in this plan so that they, in turn, can gain the trust and confidence in your customers to deliver them the best value for their business.
What you'll get in return Help our clients customers to get the best they have to offer, and you'll get the same in return. We're not just talking about valuable benefits like great bonus potential, private healthcare, childcare savings, and a huge range of employee discounts. You'll also enjoy a unique company spirit that believes in giving people the freedom to do a great job today, and the support to reach their biggest ambitions in the future.
What you'll need Being an Area Manager sees you shouldering a lot of responsibility for both the team and our clients' success. For the team, this means being a natural leader with advanced sales coaching skills. And for your customers this means showing an awareness of the opportunities available for small businesses in the wider business environment. You'll need to be an inspiration to them both, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of making value based decisions within a sales or commercial environment.
They will judge you on your ability and nothing else.
